#SENDS ON FADER LOGIC PRO 10.4 HIGH SIERRA UPDATE#
We will update this post as we get more information on Logic Pro X and macOS Sierra compatibility. The Logic Remote smart controls give you cool-looking interfaces that are easy to use and fun to play. Please note that you will want to set the Send to Pre Fader so you can adjust the main mix with the volume faders independently from adjusting the headphone mix using the Sends.

Logic Remote does its best to recognize the instrument you load and give you the right tools for the job. For this review, I installed Live 6.0.1 on a 2 GHz dual-G5 Power Mac and an 800 MHz G4 PowerBook, both running Mac OS X 10.4.8.

Here are some useful links to help you research Logic Pro X and macOS Sierra compatibility: Many third-party plugin and hardware manufacturers are reporting that more testing is needed. Pretty sure post pan is the default but not sure if I had to change something to make that the default or not.Logic Pro X is compatible with macOS Sierra. So my rule of thumb: I use post pan as a default and only change to post fader (pre pan) when the effect mix sounds lopsided. Since lower sounds are less directional (as well as their reverberations) I think that this would be more often done on basses and other instruments in the lower register.

#SENDS ON FADER LOGIC PRO 10.4 HIGH SIERRA UPGRADE#
With the 10.4 upgrade existing users will see that it was money well spent, and frankly be. In that case I will use pre pan (post fader). Thanks to its excellent performance and tool set, Logic Pro X already justified the 199.99 price tag. In theory feeding a signal into one side of a reverb unit will still simulate this but sometimes it feels a little weak on the other side (with hard panned tracks). A room will usually mix most of the verb and a player far to one side of the stage would still have reverb off the other walls. This (to my ears at least) keeps the reverb a little less muddy.īut on instruments that are hard panned (or panned far left or right) the reverb will sound like it is missing from the other side.

So for example, a drum/percussionist (for example) on one side of the room will have a slightly higher reverb (for example) on that side. That way if something is panned to one side or another, the effect mix reflects this balance. Not a stupid question at all and while I don't really know a definitive answer this is what I do.
